Just a fortnight after he finished fourth in the International Trot at Yonkers 8-year old Swedish trotter On Track Piraten was back in action at Jägersro in Southern Sweden.

Driven by Johnny Takter, On Track Piraten showed no sign of jet lag, and won the prestigious C L Müller Memorial, a race over 1-5/8 mile, in a new world record of 1.55.2f (mile rate).

The old record was held by another Swedish trotter, Alfas da Vinci, and was 1.55.4f.

The purse for the winner was $45,000 and so far, On Track Piraten has earnings of $375.000 in 2016.

On Track Piraten will race once more this year in the V75-final in late Nov.
