Online community for racing writers and publicists launched

by Nicole Kraft, communications director, USTA

Columbus, OH — Publications, writers and publicists with stories and resources to share are invited to join a new social networking community, geared exclusively toward harness racing communicators.

The North American Standardbred Communicators Association was designed to foster greater dialogue and a stronger working relationship between all aspects of the harness racing media, from those who generate story ideas to those who write and publish them. Its goal is to augment existing relationships and organizations by providing a more direct and personal connection.

NASCA has no dues and everyone involved in racing communication, who seek constructive and supportive dialogue, are invited to join. It is also open to any equine journalists, publicists or affiliates who have an interest in harness racing journalism and promotion.

To join, simply search “North American Standardbred Communicators Association” on Face Book and Linked In, and join a discussion, or start your own. Look for updates and writing tips on Twitter at www.twitter.com/NASCA_Writers.
