Online Entry surpasses 50,000 submissions

from the USTA

Columbus, OH — In less than four months, Online Entry, a free service available on the USTA website, has received more than 50,000 entries from USTA trainers.

Requiring no special computer programs and very little training, Online Entry is the easiest way to drop your horses in the box, on your own time.

Currently 22 pari-mutuel tracks and more than 90 county fair and qualifying tracks are using Online Entry since going live on April 7, including, Balmoral, Batavia, Buffalo, Dover, Freehold, Harrah’s Philadelphia, Harrington, Maywood, Meadowlands, The Meadows, Monticello, Northfield, Ocean Downs, Plainridge, Pocono, Rosecroft, Saratoga, Scarborough, Scioto, Tioga, Vernon and Yonkers.

Scioto Down has accepted the most online entries to date, with just under 7,000 submissions, from trainers with one horse through some of the biggest stables in the country.

“It’s been fantastic for the race office and horsemen,” said Scioto’s General Manager of Racing Operations Stacy Cahill. “The reduction of calls to (the) race office allows for us to address other issues besides just taking entries. Kudos to TC Lane and his team for creating such a useful tool for the race office and horsemen alike.”

Online Entry is available through the Online Services portal on the USTA website, where members can also renew their memberships and activate lifetime electronic eligibilities for their horses and can be used by any currently licensed USTA trainer.
