O’Reilly dreaming of another big year

Campbellville, ON — After having a very successful campaign last season, Frank O’Reilly was very optimistic with Slave Dream coming into this season, and the gelded son sure didn’t disappoint in his toughest task of this campaign.

The 6-year-old tackled the best older trotters in North America by capturing the $200,000 A J Cutler Memorial at The Meadowlands in 1:52.4 in his most recent outing.

“He raced really good,” O’Reilly commented. “I was just going there (The Meadowlands) hoping to get good money and the big dog ate and he got it all,” O’Reilly said.

Last season, the son of Pearsall Hanover-Hungarie F, had a banner year with a record of 2-2-2 from only ten starts, earning a bankroll of $367,065. His most notable victory came in the $300,000 Nat Ray final at The Meadowlands.

With $853,596 in career earnings, Slave Dream is owned by Franco Cianci and Isidoro Russo.

The 22-time winner will be back in action in the Earl Rowe Memorial Trot at Georgian Downs this Saturday.
