Toronto, ON — Ten 2-year-old colt pacers were entered Tuesday morning (Sept. 28) for the OSS Gold Elimination scheduled to be contested on Saturday (Oct. 2) at Mohawk Racetrack.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the Final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the Final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold Elimination for 2-year-old colt pacers scheduled for Oct. 2 at Mohawk Racetrack is cancelled. The C$40,000 purse for the Gold Elimination will be added to the regular purse for the Final, making a total Gold Final purse for this event of C$170,000.

The Gold Final will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9, as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Saturday, Oct. 2, when the Final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the ten horses that entered the event.

The field for the Final (in alphabetical order): Bullet Speed, Mach It Big, Mach Of Ballykeel, Machal Jackson, Mystician, Royal Will, Some Mach Some Win, Tribute To Gear, Twin B Legend and Watermelonwine.
