OSS Gold elimination at Mohawk canceled

by Karen Hauver, OSS Administration Coordinator

Toronto, ON — Nine 3-year-old filly pacers were entered Friday morning (September 9) for the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold elimination, scheduled for Tuesday (September 13) at Mohawk Racetrack.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be canceled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold elimination for 3-year-old filly pacers scheduled for September 13 at Mohawk Racetrack is canceled. The C$40,000 purse for the Gold elimination will be added to the regular purse for the final, making a total Gold Final purse for this event of C$170,000.

The Gold final will be held on Tuesday (September 20) as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Tuesday (September 13), when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the canceled elimination will be distributed equally between the nine horses that entered the event.

The field for the final (in alphabetical order): Athenas Legacy, Camille, Machs Delicacy, Medway Flashpoint, Modern Connection, Monkey On My Wheel, Patsys Luck, Tanned For Life and Waasmula.
