P. Dale Ford, 68, dies

Columbus, OH — P. Dale Ford, 68, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Jan. 17, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Ford was a long time employee of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, from 1976 until his retirement in 2008. He served as a horsemen’s representative at Lebanon Raceway, Raceway Park, and Scioto Downs, before becoming the assistant general manager at the OHHA. Prior to his time with OHHA, he drove and trained Standardbreds.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Patrick Ford; daughter, Amanda Fabb; grandchildren, Caden and Alexia Fabb; brother, Leo Eugene (Mickey); sister, Betty LeMaster; several nieces and nephews, including Lisa (Mark) Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Carol Patrick.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. at Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House. There will be no calling hours.
