223 yearlings have been catalogued, of which 193 are Pennsylvania eligible. Pedigrees and yearling videos, and complete information about matters related to the sale, are available on our Web site at www.standardbredpasale.com. Paper catalogs will be available at the sale.

“Customers will enjoy the comfort of the air conditioned Northwest Barn while they examine the yearlings,” said Paul F. Spears, President of Standardbred Horse Sales Company. “The Sales Arena is air conditioned, too.

“We believe that this sale will become a showcase for Pennsylvania eligible yearlings that will become future stars in the slots-enhanced Pennsylvania Sire Stakes program. Standardbred Horse Sales Company is proud to present this new sale as a marketing outlet for the increasing number of yearlings bred in Pennsylvania. With slots revenues exceeding all projections, the 2008 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes program will become extremely lucrative. With only up to four pari-mutuel tracks, augmented Pennsylvania Sire Stakes purses should provide lucrative racing opportunities for young horses.”

Spears also noted, “Customers should not overlook the fine yearlings eligible in other jurisdictions. We offer attractive yearlings eligible in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Kentucky.”

Sale results will be posted on the PA Preferred Yearling Sale Web site in PDF form after the sale has ended.
