Northfield, OH — Kor-Ans Stables’ Pacey Deucey won Saturday’s (Feb. 2) $7,500 Winners Over Pace at Northfield Park with a three-wide move around the final turn to edge favored Category Six at the wire.

The 2-1 second choice, piloted by Ryan Stahl, overcame a second tier start as he went by early pacesetter Lakeside Al and Category Six in the stretch. Kent Sherman trains the winner, a 5-year-old Cam’s Card Shark gelding, who scored in 1:56.1.

The $6,500 Winners Over Trot went to The Inquisitive Stable’s No More Gold N and trainer/driver Josh Kash. The 10-year-old Evander’s Gold gelding went gate-to-wire to score in 1:58.
