Page triples in Buckeye Stallion Series

Columbus, OH — Eldorado Scioto Downs hosted two divisions of Buckeye Stallion Series Wednesday afternoon (July 18), with 3-year-old trotting fillies and 2-year-old trotting colts and geldings competing.
Three-year-old trotting fillies squared off in races one and three. Nice And Shiny As (Stormin Normand-Follonica), a Buckeye Stallion Series winner on June 12, took the first division (race one) in 1:57.1 with Chris Page in the sulky for trainer Annette Lorentzon and owner-breeder ACL Stuteri AB. Close behind in second and third were This Year’s Best and Bugs MVP
Kellie’s MVP (My MVP-Adriana Hanover) won her division (race three) in 1:57.2, after also winning her Buckeye Stallion Series division on June 12. Trainer-driver Ray Paver shares ownership with Samuel Raneri; Kevin Kline and Derek Jacobus are the winning breeders. Proxierigs finished second, and Destarofnight was third.
Two-year-old trotting colts and geldings lined up in races two, five, and seven. Chris Page won his second Buckeye Stallion Series of the afternoon in the first division (race two) when he drove SV Payton Place (Wishing Stone-Miss Payton) to the finish in 2:01.2. SV Payton Place is owned by trainer by Christopher Beaver with Shelly Pfeiffer, Leo V Fleming and Steven Zeehandelar. Spring Valley Farm is the breeder. Two Uncle Peter colts, Master Marlin and Dynamic Ridge, finished second and third respectively.
Ray Paver made his second trip to the winner’s circle in the second division (race five) with Buckeyeonbroadway (Dejarmbro-Dream on Broadway), finishing in 2:01 for trainer Jeff Conger. This colt also won a Buckeye Stallion Series event July 3 for owners and breeders Denise Dennis and Dolne Farm Services LLC. Roscoe Village finished second and Blazinberries placed third.
Joe Gotto Go (Neely Dunn-My Chere) and driver Chris Page went to the winner’s circle after finishing the third division (race seven) in 1:59.1. This is the colt’s second Buckeye Stallion Series win this month after winning on July 3. Joe Gotta Go, bred by Fred Polk, is trained by Donald Gibson for owners Mike Davison and Gary Crumrin. Count’s Chip was a close second, and Stars An Stones finished third..
The Buckeye Stallion Series continues at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Saturday (July 21), with 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings in action.
