Pompano Beach, FL — The Pick-6, covering races three through eight, has a season high carryover of $5,043.87, while the Super Hi-5 finale has a carryover of $24,366.42 for Saturday’s (Dec. 17) card.

Gabe Prewitt, Director of Racing Operations at the South Florida five-eighths mile oval, attributes the ballooning carryovers to full fields and competitive racing.

“With even the lowest classes pacing miles as fast as 1:52, the tempo of the races has picked up quite a bit and has resulted in many bang-bang finishes. There has been consistent value in our exotic wagers and racing enthusiasts have taken notice. Our Pick-6 pool could well go over $10,000 on Saturday and the ‘Hi-5’ finale could swell to well over $30,000. That’s some serious change for the bettor.”
