Palone wins seven, including five straight

by Evan Pattak for The Meadows

Washington, PA — Dave Palone, the world’s “winningest” harness racing driver, padded his total considerably Wednesday (Dec. 17) at The Meadows when he collected seven victories on the 15-race card, including a sweep of races 10 through 14.

Palone scored twice for his brother, trainer Mike Palone; otherwise, he spread the wealth around, providing a win each for trainers Ron Burke, Scot Davidson, Kris Hite, Tye Loy and Marcus Marashian. Five of Palone’s winners were odds-on while the longest-priced was Stronski at 4-1.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Friday. Following live programs on Monday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 23, the track will break for the holidays. Post time for each of the remaining 2014 cards is 12:55 PM.
