Analysis:

11th Race: Interesting sequence tonight. In the first leg I’m using the two obvious favorites. EL Dexter was first over into a quick last half last time but wired similar from the rail two back. Just The Way It Is has won 7 of 13 starts this year including last when he beat top choice.

12th Race: Fox Valley Mercury won return for Homer and should be tough right back even though this field is a little tougher. He’s So Hot was a nice 2-year-old on this circuit last year winning 7 of 15 starts. This isn’t that tough a field so he can win off the layoff.

13th Race: Windy City Ron had an impossible trip from post 7 in last; he’s having a bad year so far but he has speed and may be able to steal it with Hiteman, who has brought in his share of longshot winners lately. Cabana Jack is the favorite and has a touch of class on most of these.

14th Race: This looks like the toughest race of the sequence so I went four deep. Apache Trick has won three in a row on the engine at this level, but catch driver Brian Carpenter gets off to drive the dangerous dropdown, Ronny B Good. With a lot of potential speed, it wouldn’t surprise me to see an upset from off the pace, which is why I also used Master Bette (moves inside off a tough trip) and Free Parkin Behind (gets a key driver change).

Here is how I rank the contenders.

11th Race: 1-2-6-8
12th Race: 1-4-2
13th Race: 3-5-1-2
11th Race: 4-8-5-2
