Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, Jan. 27, 2012

I didn’t hit last night, minus $27, which brings the total to minus $171 for the first nine nights. Last night hurt. I thought I had a strong chance to hit it so I went with two tickets. My top pick won 3 of the 4 races, including the $9.80 winner of the Super Bowl final, but I did not have the 9-5 winner of the eighth race even though I used three horses in that race; the winner was my fourth choice. It was only worth $124.50 but I thought I’d hit it.

Tonight’s sequence looks hittable.

Analysis:

Race 6: (1) Higher And Higher is a tigress for good horseman Daryl Bier. It’s a quality field but I’ll single this fast mare.

Race 7: (6) Feeling You had a tough trip in last but held gamely. I’ll single her.

Race 8: (2) Bookem is the best trotter here if ready and qualified well. I’ll single him.

Race 9: This race is tough, a marathon that yielded a fat payoff last week. I’ll use four horses including (12) Mattador D, who swept similar from far back last week. The other three I’m using are veterans who have some back class.
