Meadowlands Pick 4, Races 6-9, Thursday, May 12, 2011

I’ve managed to show a profit with a few hits at Balmoral and Northfield, despite getting blanked in the Pick 4’s I tried at Yonkers. Now we get the Meadowlands back, should be fun. Tonight I’m going with two tickets worth $24.00.

Analysis:

Race 6: There are two 3yo fillies that make their second starts off layoffs here, Shyaway and Rocklamation, but I’ve decided to take a stand with Shyaway, who broke in return in the slop at Chester, and that should help the price. She took a nice mark of 1:52.3 here last year and gets better position than the 9.

Race 7: I’m using three horses on the first ticket here, Rare Display, Greystone Cash, and Mias Bold Maneuver. On the second ticket I singled the 10, Mias Bold Maneuver, who has shown speed against some tough fields at Yonkers recently.

Race 8: I used two here, Gunga Win and my top pick, Whatever It Takes. They should be the two favorites and they appear to be the fastest trotters in this NW2. Now let’s hope they both stay on stride.

Race 9: This ten claimer may be the toughest race of the sequence. I went three deep using the two classy 11 year olds. Sand Hill N and Raider’s Match, and Lifes Tricks.
