Meadowlands $50,000 Guaranteed Pick 4, Races 6-9, Thursday, May 26, 2011

After 4 nights at the Meadowlands I’m down $124 and haven’t hit a Pick 4. Saturday night I had 3 out of the 4 but $93 winner Tenant In Chief blew up my ticket.

$1 play: 37/239/28/6= $12.00

Analysis:

Race 6: I’m using the horses here, the obvious favorite, Only In Its Class, and Psyched who ships in from Balmoral and is a proven closer in a race that figures to unfold at a fast pace.

Race 7: I’m using 3 horses here. Palm’s Beach was in tough in local debut but drops and gets Sears here. Hurrikane Scotty J was in a much better field last time and may leave here. My top pick is 15-1 on the morning line, I’m A Gordy Too. He’s easily the most accomplished horse in the race. He tired badly in the final quarter last week but it was a fast race and a much classier field.

Race 8: Lost Symbol was strong from post 10 last week as Trond had his horses ready off the bench, which is no surprise. I’m using him along with Sheer Glide whip ships in and gets a key driver change to Campbell while making her third start off the layoff. She has chased sires stakes fillies most of her career and should fit well here.

Race 9: I’m going to play a small ticket tonight and use a single, Rockjaws. She rallied wide and was a beaten favorite in last but it was off a short layoff and a sick scratch. I think she’ll improve.
