Papa Ray was a narrow winner on Monday at Harrington.
The Wayne Givens trainee held off a late charge by Don’t Ya Know for the victory. Leyden was third.
Papa Ray, a 6-year-old Village Jolt stallion, recorded his second straight win and fifth triumph of the year after setting the pace for the majority of the mile.
The Givens/Davis combination has been hot of late, teaming up for multiple win nights twice last week and started this week with a double Monday. Davis had four driving wins. George Dennis, Art Stafford Jr. and Tony Morgan each had doubles.
