Patricia Wollam, 59, dies

Columbus, OH — Patricia Johanna Wollam, 59, died Oct. 13, 2012, at Sharon Regional Hospital in Sharon, Pa.

The daughter of Robert and Mayellyn Williams Hoffman, she was born July 3, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio. A graduate of Bloom-Carroll High School, she went on to attend Ashland University for a short time before returning home.

On Oct. 21, 1973, she married Martin Wollam, with whom she spent almost 39 years of marriage. A farmer all her life, she worked as a horse breeder and caretaker for the couple’s business, Wollam Farms. Mrs. Wollam loved every day she spent there with her family, her horses and tending to the farm. Off the farm she would show her horses in competitions.

Mrs. Wollam was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association. She was also a very talented musician and loved to play the flute. She would also from time to time play for her church’s band. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Howland.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; children, Lori (Al) Manke and Miles; granddaughter, Lila Manke; sisters, Betsy Hoffman and Christine Burton; brother, Robert Hoffman; and sister-in-law, Renna. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 15) at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, OH 44403. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 16) at the funeral home.
