Paul Humphry, 70, dies

Columbus, OH — Paul E. Humphry, 70, of Columbus, Ohio, died April 16, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

Mr. Humphry retired from Columbus Division of Fire Station No. 7 after 23 years of service. He headed and was actively involved with the Columbus Fire Athletic Association that put on country music shows to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Burn Unit and the Firefighters Museum.

Mr. Humphry was a former member of the USTA and a longtime owner in the sport.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diana; son, Timothy; daughter, Kelly (Lacey) Moore; grandchildren, Lacey Moore, Jonathan Moore, Stacia, Kacey, and Delaney; step-mother, Mary; half-brothers, Leslie and Ronnie; half-sister, Jennifer; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James; mother, Ruth; and brother, Jack.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Graumlich Funeral Home, 1351 S. High St., where services will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 10 a.m. with John and Michelle Rogers officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
