Anderson, IN — Fiftydallarbill and Trace Tetrick made a clean sweep of the opening round of Indiana Sires Stakes action after they captured the featured event of the evening, the $75,000 Indiana Sires Stakes final for 3-year-old trotting colts and geldings, at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Thursday (May 31). With a final time of 1:53.4, the 2017 Breeders Crown 2-year-old trotting colt champion is now two-for-two in 2018 and established a new lifetime best for the second consecutive week.

Fiftydallarbill is now two-for-two in 2018 at Hoosier Park.

Leaving from the rail, Tetrick floated Fifytdallarbill off the gate to settle along the pylons in fourth. Katkin American and James Yoder grabbed the early lead through the opening panel in : 27.3 but yielded the lead to All On Black and driver John DeLong just before the half. All On Black led the field through splits of :56.1 and 1:24.4 before ever feeling a threat from the rest of the field.

Unable to wait any longer, Tetrick gave Fiftydallarbill the green light to commence his first-over journey and he was matching strides with the leader turning for home. Under mild urging, Fiftydallarbill opened up a quick, two length advantage. Fiftydallarbill cruised on to the wire four lengths in front of All On Black while Batting Stats and Sam Widger rallied well to finish third. As the 1-5 favorite, Fiftydallarbill returned $2.60 to his backers for the victory.

“He was very sharp tonight,” Tetrick noted after the win. “I knew a bunch of them would leave and it’s just the way the trip worked out for us. He’s a true professional.”

Trained by William Crone, the Swan For All-CR Dixie Chick sophomore colt recorded his ninth victory from 19 lifetime outings. With the win, Fiftydallarbill pushed his lifetime earnings over the $500,000 mark for owner John Barnard.
