Columbus, OH — New Jersey will soon welcome Chris Christie to the governor’s mansion, but Perretti Farms has already greeted its own Governor Chris in the Garden State.

Fulfilling the pledge made to the Governor-elect, Perretti has named the 2009 Muscles Yankee foal of the mare Malexandria, Governor Chris. The colt is a full brother to Muscles Malone, named after New Jersey Assemblyman Joseph Malone. Muscles Malone brought $90,000 at the recent Harrisburg sale.

Governor Chris — the colt not, the Governor-elect — will be available for purchase at the 2010 Harrisburg sale.
