PHHA seeks training centers and issues last call for pension benefits

by Ed Kobesky, Director of Media & Marketing, Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association

Wilkes-Barre, PA — In preparation for the 2011 racing season, the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association is compiling a comprehensive list of training centers throughout the state.

If you own or manage a training center and would like to be included, please contact the PHHA offices (contact information at www.pahha.com) with the details of your operation.

Also, you may be among dozens of eligible horsemen who will not receive your 2010 pension distribution because you failed to complete a PHHA membership application this year. You must act before Dec. 31 or forfeit any monies. If you believe you may be eligible for a distribution, and have not completed an application, please contact your nearest PHHA office (find it at www.pahha.com) or print an application by visiting our website and clicking on ‘Join.’

After Dec. 31, any unclaimed pension dollars are returned to the plan and cannot be distributed under any circumstances. Please don’t wait until the last minute, as the PHHA needs to receive your application and process it before the end of 2010.
