Columbus, OH — Philip Morris, 53, died Dec. 29, 2015, at Spring Garden Ranch, De Leon Springs, Fla.

Mr. Morris was born in Scotland on June 17, 1962 and was a former groom, common law partner and close friend of Jo-Dee Brown.

He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help another person. He groomed Standardbreds for many trainers in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Ohio, Georgia and Florida.

In addition to Brown, Mr. Morris is survived by his parents, Roseanne and Phil; daughter, Anne (Donnie) Rice; siblings Michele, Carol–Anne, Kim and Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

After cremation in Florida, his remains will be returned to his parents and he will be interred with his maternal grandmother.

An online funding page has been set up to assist with the expenses. Any funds contributed in his memory over that needed will be donated to the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association.
