Columbus, OH — Because of storms and widespread power outages in central Ohio, Scioto Downs’ race office currently does not have telephone service.

“We may not have service in the race office the rest of the week,” says Stacy Cahill, general manager of racing at Scioto. “We ask that people who need to reach us please use the cell numbers they were given or try to relay a message through another person. We’re sorry for the phone outage, but this is affecting as many as a million people in central Ohio. We’re working hard to deal with this as best we can.”

Scioto is set to race again on July 4th with a 1 p.m. holiday post time. The card features several Ohio Sires Stakes events.
