Pierce talks Muscle Massive

Campbellville, ON — Tonight at Mohawk Racetrack the C$1 million Canadian Trotting Classic will take place and Muscle Massive will be looking to capture his second $1 million race of the season. Earlier this year the son of Muscles
Yankee captured the $1.5 million Hambletonian in 1:51 for driver Ron Pierce.
Since that victory, the Jimmy Takter trainee has been in Ontario preparing for tonight’s rich event. Two weeks ago Muscle Massive was victorious at Mohawk Racetrack capturing his division of the C$127,947 Simcoe Stakes scoring in 1:56.1 on a sloppy track.
Last night, WEG’s media department had the opportunity to speak with Pierce who will leave from post five in the lucrative final.
“It’s going to be a trip race,” Pierce commented. “Whoever gets the better trip should win between Muscle Massive and Lucky Chucky. I’m very confident (in Muscle Massive), he just seems like he’s getting bigger and stronger and sharper every time he goes out there.”
Muscle Massive has career earnings of $1,059,165 for owners Brixton Medical Ab, Order BY Stable, Louie Camara, Marvin Katz, Al Libfeld and Sam Goldband.

Tonight is also customer appreciation night on behalf of Mohawk Racetrack. The first 2,000 fans will receive a complimentary slice of pizza and beverage.
Mohawk Racetrack will offer a guaranteed pool of $50,000 on tonight’s early pick-4 as part of the festivities and fans who can’t make it to the track can watch live coverage of the C$1 million Canadian Trotting Classic during a one-hour special on The Score from 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (E.T.).
