Columbus, OH — Pietro Villante, 89, of Freehold, N.J., died Nov. 4, 2014.

He was born in Italy and retired in 1990 from training Standardbreds.

He was a past member of the USTA, Standardbred Owners Association of New Jersey, Standardbred Owners Association of New York and the Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association.

The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Center St., Freehold, NJ 07728, phone 732.462.0895, on Thursday (Nov. 6) from 4-8 p.m. The interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold, on Friday (Nov. 7).
