Freehold, NJ — Hambletonian champion Pinkman is the new No. 1 in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll.

Pinkman, a 3-year-old gelded trotter, moved up from fourth in the rankings after capturing his Hambletonian elimination in a world-record-equaling 1:51.2 and winning the $1 million final in a world-record-lowering 1:51 on Saturday at Meadowlands Racetrack.

Four-year-old trotter JL Cruze, who did not race last week, remained second in the poll followed by former No. 1 Wiggle It Jiggleit, Bee A Magician, and Mission Brief.

Wiggle It Jiggleit finished fourth in Saturday’s Cane Pace for 3-year-old male pacers and Bee A Magician finished second in the Fresh Yankee for older female trotters.

Mission Brief, who was trying to become the first female winner of the Hambletonian since 1996, won her elimination in 1:51.3 and finished second to Pinkman in the final.

Other winners in the Top 10 were No. 6 State Treasurer, who won the U.S. Pacing Championship for older male pacers over No. 8 Doo Wop Hanover; No. 9 Anndrovette, who won the Lady Liberty for older female pacers; and No. 10 Wild Honey, who won the Hambletonian Oaks for 3-year-old female trotters.

Anndrovette and Wild Honey are newcomers to the Top 10.
