Cal Expo racing analyst Gregg Pistochini offers his picks for the $10,000 Pick-4 at Cal Expo Raceway on June 16, part of the USTA Strategic Wagering program.

Thursday night finds both Pick 4s at Cal Expo featuring a reduced 15 percent takeout rate, while the Late Pick 4 comes attached with a $10,000 guaranteed gross pool.

$1 play: 457/47/356/59 = $36

Analysis:

I have put together a $36 ticket in hopes of hitting the sequence, which covers races five through eight on the program.

I use three trotters in the first leg with Hope Tu Place (4), Franky Provolone (5) and Bobby Baccala (7) getting things started.

I go two deep in the sixth race, using Lust (4) and Cattle Baron (7), and back to three in the penultimate race with Dani California (3), Pussy Cat (5) and Santa Rosalia (6).

In the final leg, I have Shoot The Works (5) and Red Star Popeye (9).
