Racing concludes at Paulding County Fair

Paulding, OH — The Paulding County Fair at Paulding, Ohio, completed its two-day meet with ten races on Wednesday evening (June 15).

Jess Perfect (Jailhouse Jesse-Perfect Comer) took the only division of the 2-year-old colt trot in 2:13. John Konesky III trains and drives the gelding and also co-owns him with his son Patrick.

The lone division of the 2-year-old colt pace went to Jingels N Spook (Sadies Dreamboat-Sailongtong). Becky Nichols trains the colt and also co-owns him with Curtis Shoup. Tom Marts, Jr. picked up the winning catch-drive on Jingels N Spook in the 2:06.2 mile.

Joe Ewald’s Lima Silk (Ilooklikemymom-Shesha) captured the fastest split of the 3-year-old filly trot in 2:08.2. Greg Straub trains the filly with Mark Headworth doing the piloting on Wednesday evening. The second division went to Scarlet Spurs (Pegasus Spur-J H Sauterelle). Devan Miller is the trainer-driver of the filly with Ben Black paying the expenses. Scarlet Spurs toured the Paulding oval in 2:10.4.

Eckley Lane Emily (Scallion Hanover-Our Lady Countess) won the fastest division of the 3-year-old filly pace in 2:04. Kennard Grieser owns and trains the filly with Jerry Lighthill doing the driving. The other split found Ben Ott’s Our Little Filly (Towner’s Big Guy-Two-Fifty-Seven) in the winner’s circle after a mile in 2:04.4. Tom Marts, Jr. is the trainer-driver of Our Little Filly.
