Plainville, MA — With opening day barely two weeks away, Plainridge Racecourse has scheduled its first qualifying races of the season.

Pre-opening qualifiers will be held on Saturday (April 14) and Tuesday (April 17). Post time will be at 12 noon for both sessions, and the entry box will close at 10 a.m. the morning prior to each qualifier.

The Plainridge race office will be open mornings beginning Monday (April 9). Horsemen are reminded to file the proper updated paperwork with the racing office.

The 2012 season at Plainridge gets underway with a special Saturday afternoon card on (April 21), with a 1 p.m. post. During opening week, racing will also be conducted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (April 24) and Thursday (April 26). The traditional Monday–Tuesday–Thursday schedule commences on April 30.
