Plante wins five on Tuesday at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Roger Plante drove five winners on the Tuesday night (Nov. 15) program at Rosecroft Raceway, including Diamondkeeper in the featured Winners Over Pace.

The altered son of Pine Valley won for the 11th time this year for owner-trainer Basil Sapienza.

Plante got away seventh, but rallied with a three-wide brush and :27.4 final quarter to catch leader Spinout. Spinout (Ken Weckstein) had stormed to the lead via a :26.4 third quarter. Hickory Aloha (Timmy Offut) was third.

Plante won four straight at one point, winning races three-six.

Jason Thompson picked up a pair of wins, while Sapienza conditioned two winners on the program.

Wednesday, Rosecroft will draw for the $100,000 Potomac Pace, where Shamballa, Mel Mara, All Bets Off, Mach It So, Keystone Velocity, Dealt A Winner, and Split The House are among those expected to enter.
