Work began on Thursday on an infield improvement project.

Taking advantage of the great weather, heavy equipment began grading and moving tons of earth for the large pond that will be left of the current toteboard. Also, a Mohegan Sun emblem, comprised of stone and various flowers, will be located behind the lighted pond.

John Popple and Sons Excavating and Construction of Inkerman, and Green Valley Landscaping of Plains Township, are the contractors for the project.

Also, a large jumbo screen will be erected on the toteboard during the month of April.
