Pompano Beach, FL — It’s a short off season this year at Pompano Park, the Winter Capital of Harness Racing, and preparations are well underway for the new season starting in just over a month.
“We welcome all horsepeople with integrity, their papers in order, and the horses they believe can compete to join us for our competitive racing program and a Florida lifestyle,” says John Yinger, the Director of Racing Operations at The Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park. “Last Fall we had our backstretch full for the start of the meet and we expect the same for this year.”
The deadline for stall applications to Pompano is August 26.
The downloadable form which includes all pertinent contact information is found at www.theislepompanopark.com, in the ‘racing’ tab and in the ‘horsemen’ section.
The new season will begin on September 21, preceded by non-wagering cards in the Florida Standardbreds Breeders And Owners Association Stakes on September 10 and 17, along with qualifiers as necessary.
