Pompano Beach, FL — Pompano Park is readying for its 57th season of world class harness racing, which is scheduled to begin its 2020-2021 season. The 126 night season is set to begin on Nov. 8, with the finale on May 19, 2021.

According to Director of Racing Gabe Prewitt, there will be free stall rent for all competing racehorses. Stall rent for yearlings and 2-year-olds will be $250 per month.

Applications will be available through Race Secretary Joe Zambito (Joezambito72@yahoo.com) beginning Sept. 1 and stall availability, subject to acceptance, is on a first-come first-served basis.

Prewitt relayed unbridled enthusiasm for the upcoming meeting saying, “We have been getting a very high number of inquiries for the season and we expect to be completely full as we get close to post time!”

The talented 37-year-old Prewitt was elevated to his new post by Senior Vice-President of Racing for Caesar’s Entertainment Joe Morris, who oversees the racing operations at all racing establishments under the new “CZR” banner.

In looking forward to the upcoming season at Pompano Park, Morris related, “We have in place a very strong team at our tracks and there is a new aura of enthusiasm for the track.”

Pompano Park has a rich history for world class harness racing since its initial season back in 1964.
