Marlborough, MA — Live harness racing at Plainridge Racecourse switches to a 1 p.m. post time beginning Monday (Sept. 2).

The Massachusetts track will also conduct racing on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Jim Hardy contiinues his dominance in the driving and training catagories and holds a commading lead over Stephen Nason as he pursues another driving title. Hardy also holds an edge over Mike Eaton in the training ranks.

Labor Day and its festivities have been staged by the track in memory of Bert Beckwith for some 14 years and featured New England’s richest race, a purse of $75,000. Although it won’t take place today, his memory will continue to live onward.
