Elkton, MD — Post Time with Mike and Mike presented by BetAmerica is pleased to announce their broadcast schedule for the 2017 Dan Patch Stakes at Hoosier Park on Friday.

Post Time will provide live pre- and post-race analysis from Hoosier Park between 8:30-10:30 p.m. The coverage will include the Pick-5, interviews of all the participants, and analysis of the Dan Patch Stakes.

Jessica Otten and Taylor Johnston will join the Mike and Mike duo during all of the Dan Patch Stakes festivities. The pair will help cover the races and provide paddock and winner’s circle reactions.

Hoosier Park will have a T-shirt giveaway to the first 2,000 guests visiting the Trackside Club Centaur starting at 10 a.m. on Friday (Aug. 11). There will also be a Mystery Voucher given away to the first 500 Club Centaur members worth up to $1,000. Hoosier Park will also host a $500 Dan Patch Mega Bet, where players can swipe their Club Centaur Card at any promotional kiosk from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. five winners will be selected to play a win bet on the Dan Patch race.

The focal point of the horses eligible to the Dan Patch is world champion Freaky Feet Pete who was sidelined with injury at the end of the 2016 season. Freaky Feet Pete returned to racing in 2017 with the legacy of his former trainer Larry Rheinheimer on his shoulders. Rheinheimer died in 2016 prior to the Hoosier Pacing Derby. Freaky Feet Pete scored his first victory of 2017 at his home track, Hoosier Park, on Aug. 4 against Open company.

In 2016, the Dan Patch Stakes saw a battle of epic proportions, as it set the stage for many epic battles between Always B Miki and Wiggle It Jiggleit. The 2017 rendition is setting up to be another great battle of the great older pacers currently in the sport of harness racing.
