Springfield, IL — The 2-year-old pacing filly Princess Sage p,2,1:53.3 ($90,527) has been named the 2016 Illinois Horse of the Year.

The daughter of Sagebrush–Katie Mack is owned by Keli Jo Bell and Freddie Patton Jr. Bell bred the filly and she was trained and driven by Patton.
