Prix d’Amerique winner Davidson du Pont heads field of 15 in Prix de France

Paris, France — The Prix de France, with a total purse of 400,000 Euro and raced over the 1-5/15th mile distance, is the second richest international race in the French Winter meeting.

This year’s edition will be raced this upcoming Sunday (Feb. 13) and has a field of 15 trotters led by Davidson du Pont, the winner of the Prix d’Amerique.

Not since Bold Eagle in 2017 has a trotter won the Prix d’Amerique and Prix de France in the same year.

Davidson du Pont, with Nicolas Bazire, drew number eight behind the gate; nine trotters will be in the first row.

The total purse is 400,000 Euros and the winner takes 165,000 Euro.
