The first race leading up to the Grand Prix d’Amerique is The Prix de Bretagne, which is the main event at Vincennes Sunday afternoon (Nov. 17). Eighteen trotters were entered in this 1-11/16 mile event, with a total purse of $120,000.

Last year, the race was won by Davidson du Pont with Jean Michel Bazire in the bike. Davidson du Pont is in the field tomorrow, but with Franck Ouvrie listed as the driver.

Jean Michel Bazire is on the sidelines until Dec. 2 for creating false starts in a race in Nantes.

Bazire has entered three trotters in the race – besides Davidson du Pont – his stable is represented by Looking Superb with Alexandre Abrivard and Belina Josselyn with his son, Nicolas Bazire, in the bike.

The race is the fourth on the card at Vincennes and post time is 9:15 a.m. EST
