Progress Pace moves to late November at Dover

Dover, DE — The $350,000 (est.) Progress Pace has moved to the last part of Dover Downs’ month-long “Novemberfest of Stakes.”

The track’s six-month long campaign begins this Sunday (Nov. 2). During the first week of the meet all eight divisions of the prestigious Matron Series will be contested in lucrative finals on Thursday (Nov. 6).

On Sunday (Nov. 30), $35,000 Progress Pace eliminations set the stage for the top eight finishers racing for an estimated $325,000 final on Sunday (Dec. 7).

During late November, the freshman divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund are a part of the ‘Novemberfest’ program. The DSBF colt and filly pacers and trotters race in two preliminary legs and the eight top point-getters meet in $100,000 finals.

Sunday races begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday post time is 4:30 p.m. No live racing on Fridays and Saturdays.

The six-month long Dover Downs 2014-2015 meet begins Nov. 2 and continues until April 9, 2015.

Dover Downs Race and Sports Book features daily racing from major harness and Thoroughbred tracks and three-pick NFL football from Noon until 12 Midnight. There is no charge for parking or admission at Dover Downs. Reservations are suggested for the Winner’s Circle Restaurant, call 302.764.4600.
