Plainridge, MA — Opening day is quickly approaching, and the pre-meet qualifiers have been scheduled at Plainridge Park Casino. The first qualifying session will be held on Saturday (April 1) at 1 p.m., with the entry box closing at 9 a.m. on Friday (March 31).

The second session will be conducted on Tuesday (April 4) at 1 p.m., and those entries will be due on Monday (April 3) by 9 a.m.

All horsemen must have a signed racing application form on file with the race office prior to qualifying or racing at Plainridge Park Casino. Each horse must have a Coggins test valid through the end of the meet, along with an updated health certificate.

The opening program of the 2017 season at Plainridge Park Casino will take place on Monday (April 10), at the traditional 4 p.m. post time, with the first draw of the season taking place on Thursday (April 6).

Plainridge Park Casino will conduct 125 days of live racing in 2017 during a meet which will run until Nov. 24.
