Plainville, MA — Opening day is less than three weeks away, and the initial qualifiers of the 2016 season have been scheduled at Plainridge Park Casino.

The first qualifying session will be held on Saturday (April 2) at 1 p.m., with the entry box closing at 10 a.m. on Friday (April 1). The second session will be conducted on Tuesday (April 5) at 1 p.m., and those entries will be due on Monday (April 4) by 10 a.m.

All interested parties should note that there are still a few tickets available for the Classy Lane Fundraiser to be held this coming Saturday evening (March 26). The event featuring nationally known comedian Mike Petit is presented by the New England Amateur Harness Drivers Club, in conjunction with the Standardbred Owners of Massachusetts, the Harness Horsemen’s Association of New England and Plainridge Park Casino.
