Fraserville, ON — Live harness racing returns to Kawartha Downs on Saturday (May 28). Qualifying races will be held this Saturday (May 21) with an 11 a.m. post time.

Box closes for qualifying entries on Thursday (May 19) at 10 a.m. Entries should be made to race secretary Ian Fleming at 519.482.5270.

Training is available at the track every Monday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schooling races will start Wednesday (May 18) at 11 a.m. and will also be held June 1, 15 and 29 and July 13 and 27.

Racing will be held every Saturday night from May 28 through Oct. 1 (except Sept. 17 when a NASCAR race will be held at the track). Post time is always 7 pm.

New this year is the Kawartha Downs Kids’ Club. All youngsters who join will be given a Kids’ Club t-shirt and will be eligible to win draws every race night. Opening night will feature lots of activities for the entire family with prizes and giveaways after every race. In addition, your first bet is on us (with program coupon).

Fans will also have the chance to win a ride around the racetrack behind a magnificent Standardbred thanks to the Hands On Horses program on opening night.
