Springfield, IL — Racing officials have scrapped the Spring Preview harness program, which was to have taken place Saturday (May 21) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, after continuing rainfall and an unfavorable forecast hindered track maintenance efforts and forced cancellation of the card.

Officials originally had announced a postponement until Sunday (May 22), before another cell of thunderstorms drenched the racetrack. Discussions are now underway for a possible racing program next Saturday (May 28), with officials hoping to issue an update by Monday (May 23).
