Toledo, OH — Raceway Park will commence its 2013 season of live harness racing this weekend with programs on Saturday and Sunday nights beginning at 6 p.m.

Trainers interested in participating are reminded that entries for both cards must be called in to the race office by 9 a.m. on Thursday (April 25).

“We’re going to try a double draw every Thursday for both weekend programs this year. Separate condition sheets have been published for each program,” new race secretary Gregg Keidel explained, “but occasionally we’ll need to move a race or two from one day to the other in order to be consistent with our number of races. To make it work we’re asking horsemen to indicate when entering either Saturday only, Sunday only, or either — which means you want to get in and race regardless of which day the race goes.”

Current coggins tests must be on file in the Toledo race office or entered in the USTA computer prior to entering. The race office fax number is 419.476.5499.

Ship-in stall applications and liability waiver forms must also be submitted by all participants, but can be turned in on your first visit to Raceway Park in 2013.

The Ohio State Racing Commission office at Raceway Park will open at 12 noon on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend for 2013 licensing.
