Racing returns to Dover Downs on Nov. 4

Dover, DE — Entries are now being accepted for Dover Downs’ 50th anniversary race season. Racing returns on Monday (Nov. 4) and the meet will conclude on Thursday (April 20) for an 82-day meet.

The entry box closes at noon daily. Horsemen are urged to partake in online entry.

Race days will be Monday through Thursday. Post time will be at 4:30 p.m. The exceptions to that schedule are Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving), Dec. 20-29 (Christmas break) and Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve).

Qualifiers will be conducted on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Racing highlights include the Matron Stakes. The 2-year-olds race on Thursday (Nov. 7) and the 3-year-olds race on Thursday (Nov. 14).

The Delaware Standard Breeders Fund opens the week of Nov. 11 with the finals on Nov. 26 and 27.

The Hap Hanson Progress Pace final for 3-year-old males will be on Wednesday (Nov. 27) with elimination races, if necessary, on Wednesday (Nov. 20).
