Cams Art romped to a 1:50 victory in the $32,500 Delaware Special on Monday at Dover Downs.

Dover, DE — Cams Art took a big step toward being voted ‘Horse of the Meet’ romping to a 1:50 victory in the $32,500 Delaware Special on Monday, April 4 at Dover Downs.

With chief contender Solano scratch, David Miller took Cams Art right to the front and set all the fractions on the way to his ninth win of the meet in 11 races for breeders and owners Morgan and Jeanne McInnis. The 1:50 clocking becomes the Delaware-bred altered son of Cams Fortune-My Foolish Art’s career fastest victory of three wins in the 1:50s. Charger (Corey Callahan) got away second and remained there the rest of the mile. Frog Juice (Toby Lynch) came on to take third.

Monticello Raceway
Notimetimefordreaming notched her third consecutive victory at Monticello Raceway, which also was her sixth win in her last seven starts. Bruce Aldrich, Jr. handled the driving chores for trainer Frank Yanoti and they turned back seven others en route to a 2:00.3 victory over a muddy racetrack. Aldrich sent Notimefordreaming for the lead and they finally took command after a :29.2 quarter. From there Aldrich kept Saturdaynitedancer and driver Brandon Simpson on the limb which thwarted most challenges from the back as Notimefordreaming cruised to a 1:00.3 half. From there Aldrich played catch me if you can and nobody could as his pacing mare rambled home a 1-1/4 length winner over Blissfull Jessie and driver Billy Dobson. Third place went to Bullville Princess who was in rein to Jimmy Taggart, Jr.
Owned by the Skull N Roses Stables, Notimefordreaming was sent off at odds of 2-5 and paid a paltry $2.80 for win. Thus far this year the 6-year-old Dream Away mare has six wins, two seconds and two thirds in 11 starts, with a record of 2:00 recorded on March 14.
