Dancin Yankee was a 1:51.4 winner in the Dover Preferred.

Dancin Yankee made his first February start a winning one when Corey Callahan reined a 1:51.4 victory, holding off a strong stretch challenge from the Allan Davis-driven Stolen Car with a :27.3 final panel.

It was only the second start for Dancin Yankee in a month since his last win on Jan. 17. Bob Briley, Richard Lombardo and Baron Racing own the 5-year-old son of Yankee Cruiser-Dancewiththebest who has won $43,750 this year and $458,912 lifetime.

Stolen Car held second with Adventure Bound and Jim Morand third. Malak Uswaad N was a pre-race scratch.

Trainer Green’s Summer Camp required a different way to win. Jon Roberts ranged Summer Camp alongside race favorite Mainland Key N (Eric Carlson) at the three-quarters and the duo battled head-to-head around the final turn and through most of the stretch before Sumer Camp got his head in front for a 1:51 win, his second in his last three starts. Beavercreek Artist (Ron Pierce) came on for third.

Baron Racing and VIP Internet Stable own the Rocknroll Hanover-Roman Art gelding. The classy Summer Camp won for the 35th time in his career while running his earnings to $429,150.

Shopping With Art continued unbeaten in 2013, ringing up his fifth straight success, a 1:51.4 victory in one of two $16,500 paces. Its Rock N Roll (Brad Hanners) gave him all he wanted in the stretch but had to settle for second. Perma Grin (Ron Pierce) was the third finisher.

Daryl Bier owns, trains and drives Shopping With Art, a lightly raced Art Major-Precious Shopper gelding who now has won seven of 11 career races, only once farther back than third.

Two drivers had four wins each, Ron Pierce, who also won both ends of the daily double, and Corey Callahan. Trainer Michelle King haltered two winners.
