Dover, DE — A snow laden racetrack could not prevent Dodekaphobia from winning the $14,500 feature Thursday, Dec. 16 at Dover Downs.

Matt Kakaley drove Dodekaphobia, a 5-1 shot, to a 1:57.2 victory in the top purse event of the day. Lynda Wozny and trainer Eric Ell own the sophomore Village Jolt-Spunky Gal gelding who recorded his fifth win of the year and upped his seasonal earnings to $54,054.

Curb Your Z Tam (Mike Cole) finished second with favorite Albanian Artist rallying for third.

Cal Expo
Conditioned-claiming pacers, racing for a $3,200 purse, were featured at Cal Expo on Thursday night, in which Hawk’s Copperstone never looked back. Owned by Dave Siegel, trained by Raul Escobedo and driven by Rick Plano, the gelding won ($18.60) by a quickly diminishing nose in 1:56.1. Thedeadliestcatch found room a yard too late and had to settle for second and Nicota finished just a neck farther back in third.
