Dune In Red repeats in Sunday feature at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — Dune In Red (Duneside Perch) scored a victory in the feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway for the second straight Sunday afternoon.

Dune In Red was a 1:54.4 winner on Sunday afternoon.

Leaving to overcome her outside post, Dune In Red worked hard to get to the lead in a fast opening quarter paced in :27.4. Once she got there, the even money favorite never looked back.

The Allan Johnson-trained 4-year-old prevailed in 1:54.4 in the $17,000 Fillies and Mares Open with Austin Siegelman in the sulky. Cloris Hanover (Billy Dobson) closed from last to finish second in the Sunday feature while Get Your Armor (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) earned the show spot.

Live racing resumes on Wednesday night with a 6:45 p.m. first post. Racing takes place on Wednesday night this week instead of Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
